Sean Robinson has been teaching for over 25 years in classes from kindergarten to high school in cities from Jakarta to Vancouver. A Global Teacher Prize Top 50 Finalist for 2019 and top project-based learning teacher to follow on Twitter by The Guardian, Sean has a passion for guiding teachers to employ more effective pedagogy through leveraging human connection. He received the Premier's Award for Excellence in Education for his work in the area of Technology and Innovation in October 2018 and won the Gess Awards 2021 Best Use of Digital Learning in the Classroom.
Sean began his teaching career in a Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2 split class, spent years teaching elementary, taught 10 years in middle school, and currently teaches Science and Digital Literacy at Riverside Secondary in Port Coquitlam. He has been on the Computer Using Educators of British Columbia executive and hosted the 2016 CUEBC conference at Riverside Secondary. He is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.
Sean is the creator of Connections-based Learning and the Co-founder of Connected Learning Partnerships, a grassroots initiative to bring together educators from around the world to collaborate on global projects. Through connectionsbasedlearning.com and the digital Human Library educators from over 40 countries applied to be part of the program which can be accessed through the digital Human Library.
Sean is part of the Teachsdgs Founding Ambassadors, assembled as part of the global conversation igniting classrooms around the globe to take action to meet the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. He has a passion for guiding educators to connect their classes globally and employ a more effective pedagogy.
